John Reese Releases the Birth of Internet Marketing
I don’t know if you have read this yet, but John Reese (of Traffic Secrets fame among other things) have just released a brand new 53-page report called:
"The Rebirth of Internet Marketing"

I just read it and to be honest, I almost felt depressed after reading it.
More competition, no more low hanging fruit, the end of small niche sites…
BUT, much of it did resonate with me.
One of the problems I’ve always had is that I get caught up in the latest tactics, tricks if you will, that will make me money. Instead I should have focused all that time on building a business. So going away from building tiny sites to something more significant has been at the forefront of my mind since the beginning of the year.
I interpreted what John wrote as pretty synonymous to what Jack Humphrey has been teaching for the past several months. In any event, Jack has been teaching that we as online marketers / publishers need to move away from building the typical "built for Adsense" type of sites (you know those 5 – 10 page sites built with PLR articles) and instead concentrate on creating something worthwhile… i.e. authority sites (or three) using a blogging platform (preferably Wordpress).
John makes it pretty clear that we need to change the way we publish online on page 29 of his report:
"Another major evolution that’s happened online is the growing power of the authority site"
Enough said…
Then he goes on to suggest that we should "give away the farm" as marketers (my interpretation).
As some of you may know, this site started as a free video training resource for Bum Marketing / Article Marketing (by the way, you can still access the video archives by subscribing to my newsletter).
I received a lot of kind emails regarding the videos, but what I found interesting and a bit surprising was the amount of negative comments I received as well.
Believe it or not, there were several marketers that were extremely concerned about all the information I was releasing for free… and that I’m "ruining the party" so to speak for others who were trying to capitalize on the Bum Marketing trend by launching products of their own.
I found this to be quite funny… especially since Travis Sago, the person who coined the term "Bum Marketing", gave away the techniques for free on his website: www.BumMarketingMethod.com. Not to mention the fact that giving this type of information away will actually increase the appetite for even more material. In other words, I was helping these other marketers make even more money.
I’m thinking a lot of people are going to get upset as the more "savvy" marketers start taking heed to what John Reese is teaching and start to offer a ton of material for free. And with John launching his Income.com where he has promised us a TON of free content… I’m thinking some of these people are gonna get royally ticked off.
